ONE Programs provides structured programs directed toward removing the economic & social barriers for youth to participate in their community and sports.

ONE is not just focused on providing free sports for children but creating a community and environment that encourages leadership, learning, exploration, and entrepreneurship. By offering various programs and opportunities, ONE is developing the skills, abilities, and resources within the community not only to survive but thrive. We also address food insecurity, promote cultural education, and introduce children to new career options through field trips.

Overall, ONE contributes to reducing poverty and creating a stronger, more sustainable community in Nova Scotia.

What We Do

Nova Scotians Helping Nova Scotians Association (NSHNSA) delivers community-based programs that address social determinants of health through sport, education, leadership development, food access, and community engagement.

Through these integrated initiatives, NSHNSA operates as a community wellness hub, creating accessible opportunities for youth, families, and community members to stay active, build connections, and develop leadership skills.

Our work focuses on removing financial and social barriers so individuals and families—particularly those from underserved communities—can access opportunities that support healthy development, confidence, and community well-being across Nova Scotia.
